Dr. Michael New
D.V.M., M.R.C.V.S., Owner
Dr. New is a 1987 graduate of Michigan State University College of Veterinary Medicine. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Britain's Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, the American Animal Hospital Association, AO/Vet International, and the Veterinary Orthopedic Society. His special interests include minimally invasive surgery, orthopedic and soft tissue surgery, and oncology.
Dr. Ana Chernova

A 2023 graduate of the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Chernova made her way up to Juneau after interning at Juneau Veterinary Hospital during her rotations. Having fallen in love with the area and the community during her visits, she has committed herself to helping the cats, dogs, and exotics, of Juneau.
Diana Rossmiller
Office Manager

Diana Rossmiller is the office manager and assists in all areas of the practice. She is dedicated to excellence in companion animal care. Diana loves walking on beaches with her dog and sitting in the sun with her cat.
Austin Godden
Veterinary Assistant

Having been around the veterinary profession for most of his life, it was only a matter of time until Austin dipped his toes into the work himself. Working at Juneau Veterinary Hospital to further his experience, he will also be examining for his LVT in July of 2024 so that he may help to the best of his ability.
Stebi Sanchez
Veterinary Assistant

A transplant to Alaska from the east coast, Stebi has come to Juneau to study biology at UAS. As an army veteran, Stebi has brought a unique skill set into the scientific field and to his job. Always at the front of the line for a chance to help and interact with animals, Stebi comes to Juneau Veterinary Hospital hoping to learn and experience all he can.
Araeya McKnight
Veterinary Assistant

After moving up from Utah as a child, Araeya has resided in Juneau since. With veterinary medicine intriguing them since they were young, Araeya has come to Juneau Veterinary Hospital to pursue their interest and help give back to the community. When not working, Araeya enjoys trapsing about the woods with their dog and playing with their family cats at home. They are currently pursuing their VRCE.
Nichole Bearden
Veterinary Assistant

Having grown up around animals, Nichole has enjoyed working in the veterinary field and also volunteering at a farm when they were young. Born and raised in Eagle River, Nichole has moved around Alaska as well as across the pond in England before settling back in Juneau. They are currently pursuing their VRCE and also are looking to acquire their technician license soon after.
Kyla Bentz
Veterinary Assistant

Born and raised among the breathtaking landscapes of Juneau, Kyla's passion for animals and the great outdoors started at an early age. Now, as a student at the University of New England, she is pursuing a degree in medical biology, with aspirations of attending veterinary school in the future.
